AgWeb.com is hosting a day-long event called “A Day in Agriculture” today. It’s a way to show what impacts 6.5 billion people daily.
There will be videos, photos, live updates via Twitter, audio updates, and blog-like submissions showing what people are doing in agriculture today.

Hi Kim! It is a busy time of the year right now for sure. As soon as we’re done with the wheat it’ll be time to harvest beans and milo. Goodness, I need a massage just thinking about these next few months (just kidding). Enjoy the nice change in weather and good luck with planting in your part of the county line 🙂

I love reading your blog. I live in Kansas but I don’t know much about farming so I find your posts and videos very interesting. I have been interested in learning about wheat harvest since I went to KU where I knew students whose parents farmed. Please tell your husband that there are many of us in the city – even Jayhawks who appreciate all that he does.
I would love to see a post about how you and Adam met.

Thank you so much for reading the blog. Don’t worry, I didn’t know much about grain farming until I met Adam (what am I saying, I still don’t–haha!). To be honest, I especially do the videos as a way to keep learning.
Wheat harvest is a fun time of the year–BUSY, but fun! It’s the only crop that you have to “race” to get out of the fields because of the summer storms. You are more than welcome to come out and ride in the combines or trucks next summer–the only request is to wear purple, lots of purple 🙂 My husband’s family is a diehard Wildcat family.
Seriously though, we do have visitors during harvest and you are more than welcome to participate in the experience. As far as a post about how Adam and I met, oh my! I might need a few posts for that one.
