Prior to running off to another state and marrying a Kansas farmer, I created this blog to keep my friends and family back home up-to-date on my happenings. If you look at the number of posts I’ve made, one would assume I’ve dropped dead or fallen off the face of the earth.
Don’t worry, I’m alive & well in Kansas!I am a former teacher to teens by trade and a farm wife by choice. I blog about the days of my life–usually surrounded by wheat fields. I am a domestic disaster in the kitchen and a Holly Homemaker flunkie. I can order take-out like the best of them!
I appreciate high-heeled shoes, Dove Dark Chocolates, good food with friends, and laughter…
I absolutely love waking up to the sun on my face, or falling asleep with the sun hitting my face. I just like the warmth of the sun…
I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty when needed…
I work too hard on most days, usually while wearing high heels…
I’m just trying to live in this crazy world while trying to keep the farmer fed, our kiddos entertained, the cows alive, the wheat growing, the kids learning, the laundry clean, and my pretty high heels intact. Is that too much to ask?!?

I attended the Young Farmer And Ranchers conference in January and got to listen to you talk. I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it and also wanted to get a few of the tips you shared with us. Like about how you update the landlords ( I think you called it a drop box maybe) and the most important one is which app you use to track down your husbands phone when he can’t find it. LOL Love your blog and I also liked your facebook page.

We use Shutterfly to make the calendars for our landlords.
We use DropBox (website) and the app to share crop reports and other things we scan between my husband, father-in-law, mother-in-law, and myself.
And the most important one–the Find My iPhone app to track down phones and iPads. This one has been helpful. SO. MANY. TIMES.
